Urban renewal of Lovers’ Square, Teruel, Spain
Competition 2008. 1st price
Redesign of the existing square, which is in bad condition. This aim of this project is to improve the access to the Mausoleum and to make the area more appealing.
Two basic elements are sed to portray the square’s main structure: a staircase and a monumental fountain, which serves as the base for its two levels. The use of ceramic materials, a typical material in Teruel, has a noteworthy role in this project.
